Steven H. Griffith, M.D., a native of Indiana, graduated from Southern Methodist University where he received his Bachelors Degree in Chemistry. He went on to earn his Medical Degree from Indiana University Medical School. Dr. Griffith completed his family practice residency here in Evansville, Indiana at Deaconess Hospital and went on to become a board-certified family practice physician.
While practicing in Paris, Texas with a family practice group, Dr. Griffith furthered his training and also became board-certified in Emergency Medicine. He initially practiced Emergency Medicine at McCuistion Regional Medical Center in Paris, Texas and then spent the next 24 years in Cedar Rapids Iowa at Mercy Hospital Trauma Center. Dr. Griffith’s family ties lured him back to Indiana where he became an Industrial Physician with Toyota Motor Manufacturing in Princeton.
Now with the Medical Cosmetic Center, Dr. Griffith has the pleasure of working with his wife Cheryl who earned her R.N. degree at Deaconess School of Nursing over 30 years ago. As the Medical Director of the Weight Management Program at Medical Cosmetic Center, Dr. Griffith’s practice philosophy encompasses a scientific approach to a healthy lifestyle. To focus on a healthy approach to weight management Dr. Griffith works closely with Faith Dearmond, Certified Nutrition Counselor, who works one-on-one with patients offering services with an emphasis on customized goal-oriented meal planning.
Dr. Griffith has also had extensive training in the procedural treatment of venous insufficiency through VNUS® Medical Technologies. His goal is to treat venous problems (varicose veins/spider veins) and alleviate the symptoms of venous disease while obtaining the best cosmetic results.
