Dr. Thomas S. Hastetter
Thomas S. Hastetter, M.D. was born in Passau, Germany and his parents moved to Montana when he was a young child. Dr. Hastetter received his BS from St. John’s University in Collegeville, Minnesota, his MD and Master of Obstetrics from the Royal College of Surgeons, in Dublin, Ireland, which includes the oldest maternity hospital in the English speaking world. He received his post graduate training in Obstetrics and Gynecology from the Pittsburgh campus of the Medical College of Pennsylvania, Hanneman Medical School system at Allegheny General Hospital. During his training, Dr. Hastetter was also able to receive additional training in Munich, Germany, and worked closely with E. Donnall Thomas, M.D., the 1990 Nobel Prize winner in medicine for his work in bone marrow transplantation, at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, in Seattle, Washington.
Dr. Hastetter has been in Evansville for over 16 years, and has dedicated himself to providing the highest quality care possible for his OB/GYN patients. During this time he also has been closely associated with the Deaconess Family Practice Residency program, assisting in the education and supervision of young doctors in training.
Through his busy practice, Dr. Hastetter has had the pleasure of treating thousands of women. It quickly became apparent to him that a woman’s body image has a significant impact on her health and overall enjoyment of life. Many of his patients requested help with skin problems, weight gain, and other issues related to the natural aging process. In order to be able to more affectively help his patients, Dr. Hastetter sought out extensive training in vaginal rejuvenation, dietary management, and age management medicine.
In order to centralize and expand these services, Dr. Hastetter established the Medical Cosmetic Center. Originally the scope of the Medical Cosmetic Center was vaginal rejuvenation, weight loss, age management, and minimally invasive cosmetic enhancements. As the need expanded, Dr. Hastetter expanded the services offered to include the Tri-States most experienced Plastic Surgery team.
Currently, Dr. Hastetter is the only physician in the area who has reached Gold status with Allergan Pharmaceuticals, the makers of Botox®. By reaching Gold status, it made him the most experienced physician in the Tri-State area with Botox®. Dr. Hastetter also offers training classes for physicians in advanced techniques in a variety of dermal tissue fillers.
Dr. Hastetter and his staff are dedicated to providing the most superior quality of cosmetic procedures and services in a warm and compassionate atmosphere.
